Gift Mart: Host a Gift Drive
Gift Mart is a Christmas pop-up shop at New City Church where parents and caregivers can choose gifts for their children at 50 to 80% off retail prices. Every gift on the shelves is donated by people in our community, and all proceeds go back into helping Albuquerque families.
This year, we hope to have 1500 gifts to serve 120 families and stock the store with gifts for more than 250 kids and teens. Every drive helps give families more choices when they shop.

How to Host a Gift Drive
1. Invite your people. Ask your coworkers, neighbors, friends, family, sports team, or community group to join you. Even a few people can make a difference.
2. Choose how to collect. Set out a donation bin at work or another gathering spot, share our wishlists so friends near and far can ship gifts directly to New City, or plan a shopping trip together. Your group can collect for all ages or pick one age group, like babies and toddlers or teens.
3. Spread the word. Use the flyers and graphics below to tell people what you’re collecting, where to bring it, and when your drive ends. Send a quick reminder a few days before your deadline.
4. Bring your gifts to New City. Set your group’s collection deadline a few days before the church’s drop-off deadline of December 18, so you have time to gather and deliver everything.
What to Collect
We’re collecting new, unwrapped gifts for infants through age 16, with a suggested retail value of $10 to $30. Small stocking stuffers are welcome, too. Use our wishlist or Gift Idea List.
Shop wherever you like, or choose a gift from one of our wishlists and have it shipped directly to New City.

Drop Off Your Gifts
Please deliver gifts by Friday, December 18th. We need time to process donations and get them ready for the store. We can also arrange to pick up donations if that is needed.

If affordable Christmas gifts would help your family this year, or you know a family who could use them, we’d love to welcome you. Gift Mart is open to the community, and there’s no need to attend New City.

Check-In and Welcome Team - welcome families, volunteers, and keep us organized
Kids Zone Christmas Party - organize games, crafts & hangout with kids and teens
Safety & Facility Team - ensure everything is running well behind the scenes, help carry out gifts
Hospitality Team - provide refreshments for guests and volunteers
Host Team - help adults shop and get to know them while they wait for gift wrapping
Gift Store Team - ensure our store is stocked and running smoothly
Gift Wrapping Team - wrap gifts beautifully and quickly
Photos with Santa - facilitate families getting their photos taken, upload digital photos to share after the event
