In this series we will shed our religiosity and leave our self-righteousness behind for the righteousness of Jesus.
The gospel says that I am a sinner saved by grace. It is so easy to be religious and to divide the world in to categories: good and bad. Biblical Christianity does not divide the world in to those categories, but into the categories of sinners in need of grace or sinners saved by grace. This gospel is humbling. It prevents us from looking down on people who don't live like us. It is also empowering. It prevents us from allowing others to look down on us with superiority. The gospel is a great equalizer. When we embrace it, we are will be able to live and love like Jesus.
